A sloping working surface used to be the norm for people who were studying or regularly reading and writing. Then we forgot the benefits of sloped surfaces in favour of more practical, flat desks. Reading and writing slopes bridge the gap between the two by providing a limited area of angled work surface to help ease neck and back strain. The benefits of angling your work surface, to bring the body more upright, can be significant.
The Putnam Writing Slope adjusts to six different angles to suit most needs and includes an integral lip to support even the heaviest of books. The steel sub-surface allows the use of magnets to attach paperwork to the slope. The unit has a solid hardwood frame and folds and locks flat for easy storage or transport.
