The Evoluent™ VerticalMouse™ 3 is the advanced third generation of the revolutionary mouse from the inventor of the handshake grip. The patented shape supports your hand in a fully upright handshake position that eliminates forearm twisting. An ordinary horizontal mouse requires your forearm to rotate away from its natural position so that the hand is placed flat.

The grip is the same as an ordinary mouse, just turned sideways into a handshake position. Most users say that they adapted to it very quickly. The VerticalMouse™ does not move sideways when clicking with normal force because the thumb naturally opposes the fingers. Pointer control is as accurate as any other good mouse when the pointer speed settings are properly adjusted. All 5 buttons are easily operable without contorting your fingers. The button force is light for easy clicking, but still firm enough to avoid accidental actuation. The new Vertical Mouse™ 3 shape fits both larger hands and smaller hands better. The small lip on the bottom edge prevents the little finger from rubbing the desk.

The 5 buttons on the Evoluent™ VerticalMouse™ 3 are each programmable with different functions in different applications. For example, a button can be Double Click in one application and Ctrl in another application. When the driver is not installed, the default functions in Windows are:
• Top button - left click
• Wheel button - middle click (e.g., for pan and rotate in CAD programs)
• Middle button - right click
• Bottom button - back
• Thumb button - forward

Compatibility: For PC the Evoluent Vertical Mouse 3 includes a driver for Windows XP Pro, XP Home, and Vista 32, for programming all 5 buttons. The driver is not required as the VerticalMouse™ 3 still has basic functionality without it. A Freeware driver for Windows Vista (32 and 64 bit), XP x64, 2003, and 2000 is available. USB connection only. PS2 converters will not work.

Compatibility: For MAC, 2 buttons and a scroll wheel will function in OS X 10.4.5 or newer without a driver. Shareware drivers are available.
