Saiza Seating

A new and innovative hybrid of saddle and office chair, the Saiza is a comfortable and robust alternative to conventional office seating. We've also found a number of applications in the dental and medical professions as an alternative to saddle or sit-stand seating.

When sitting for any length of time, particularly in standard office chair at a desk, we tend to slouch and let our ribcage slump towards our hips, compressing our abdominal muscles and digestive system, restricting our breathing and limiting movement. This can contribute to long-term back problems and lead to neck, shoulder and arm pain too.

The secret of sitting correctly is to encourage the spine to maintain its natural, neutral balanced position, with your head, shoulders and hips in vertical alignment. By tilting the pelvis forward the spine holds its natural ‘s’ shape. Weight is then more evenly distributed across the lumbar discs.

Unlike conventional seating, Saiza’s uniquely contoured and angled seat has been designed to encourage a forward tilt of the hips and better alignment of the spine.

Saiza’s height and angle adjustable seat also encourages movement and prevents static loading. This reduces fatigue and strengthens core muscles to help prevent and alleviate back pain.

The Saiza is available in two seat sizes. Size 1 is suggested for users of 142 - 170cm (4’8” to 5’7”) in height and Size 2 for those of 170 - 198cm (5’7” to 6’6”). In practice, your body size and weight have an influence on the choice and so if you're shorter but wider, a Size 2 may be better and if you're taller and thinner, a Size 1 may suit best. The answer, of course, is to try the chairs here in our showroom, or give us a call to arrange a demonstration.

Saiza is available in three upholstery options:

Dartex® is an excellent choice for multi-user environments. It is a fully waterproof yet breathable material. Highly durable and easy to keep clean. Dartex® offers an impenetrable barrier to virus and bacteria making it a favourite choice with healthcare organisations and larger companies. Available in white, red, blue, green and black.

New wool contract upholstery fabric is 92% pure new wool and 8% nylon. Highly durable and easy to keep clean, this first class fabric is suitable for a wide range of environments. Available in red, blue, green and black.

Alternatively, the Saiza can be upholstered in Nubuck Leather, in white, red, blue, green and black at a small extra cost.
